Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Old City Inn Hotel, I was treated to a delightful experience in the heart of Baku's historic district. The hotel's location is an impressive feature; just 300 meters from the Icherisheher Metro Station, it provides seamless access to various landmarks, including the beautiful Palace of the Shirvanshahs, which was a mere stroll away. Our air-conditioned room on the top floor offered a splendid view of the Caspian Sea, albeit with a tiresome climb up those stairs - a minor inconvenience for the beauty that awaited at the summit. The hotel has a cozy restaurant that serves delightful Azerbaijani specialties, complemented by a breakfast buffet that started our days on a high note. And while the property could benefit from a little renovation, I found the value for money to be extraordinary, especially given the warm hospitality and pleasant amenities like complimentary tea and a shared kitchen. If you're seeking an authentic experience in the Old City without breaking the bank, I would wholeheartedly recommend this gem!
